Denny's 2019 HBCU Meal Scholarships

At Denny's, we believe
that Historically Black Colleges and Universities are one of the most important cultural forces in the African-American community, preparing and equipping the next generation of great minds to lead. Lasting six weeks in the fall of 2019, Denny’s Hungry for Education HBCU Tour will promote Historically Black Colleges and Universities by giving students, parents, guidance counselors, and other school leaders the chance to connect (or re-connect) with the great things that are happening at these vital institutions of higher education.
Denny's 2019 HBCU Tour Bus visited seven campuses:
Florida A&M University
Clark Atlanta University
South Carolina State University & Claflin University
At each of the tour stops, there was:
☑ Live entertainment, featuring HBCU marching bands
☑ Information about the Hungry for Education Scholarship Program
☑ Photo booth
☑ Panel discussions and workshops:
• Navigating Admissions and Financial Aid
• Career Options and Choosing a Major
• Hunger and Food Insecurity On Campus
• Future Filmmakers
• Panels featuring a Distinguished Alumni, Current Students, and Local Advocates
